About hb.dev

We close the gap between an AI experiment and a system you can trust.

A small technical consultancy in Aarhus, working with founders and organisations across Europe. We build production-grade IT and AI systems: the model and everything around it, and make sure your own team can run them long after we're gone.

Why we exist

Building got easy. Trust didn't.

GenAI made it easy to build: almost anyone can ship a prototype in an afternoon. But a prototype that demos well isn't a system you can trust, and most experiments die on the way to production.

Getting there takes both: a model that's reliable and explainable, and the engineering around it: data, security, integration, scale. That's the gap we close.

How we're different

The people who scope it are the people who build it.

No subcontracting. No handoff to a team that wasn't in the room. We do the hard model work and the production engineering, and we'd rather make your team able to own the result than keep you dependent on us.

When it makes sense, we keep it running with you. But the default is simple: you own what we build.

The team

Senior people who build.

Not a layer of management between you and the work.

Where we've proven it

We've delivered where failure isn't an option: defence, utilities, healthcare, and public sector. If your work needs security clearance, GDPR compliance, or regulatory sign-off, we've already been there. That discipline isn't reserved for our biggest clients; it's how we build everything.

What we believe

Capability compounds.

We'd rather make your team able to run it than sell you dependency.

The right problem first.

The best engineering on the wrong problem still fails.

No slide decks.

We ship working systems that survive production.

Work with us

Let's build something that survives contact with the real world.
